“Art is a process of making sense of ourselves and our world… I’m not interested in telling people what they need to learn about art, I’m interested in helping people come to see the value of art for themselves.” — Jacqueline Terrassa, Carolyn Muzzy Director of Colby College Museum of Art
Carolyn Muzzy Director of Colby College Museum of Art Jacqueline Terrassa shared the bold vision for the Colby Museum in a conversation on Jan. 21 with Julia Lo ’14, Museum Board of Governors member, former Colby Museum intern, and current programs manager at the Vilcek Foundation.
The discussion focused on the Colby Museum’s many exciting and ambitious goals for today and tomorrow. Terrassa described a series of ways in which the Colby Museum meaningfully connects students and community members with art and artists. Each and every one of these opportunities, current and future, are made possible in part through your support of Friends of Art.
The Colby Museum continues to expand access to art during the pandemic by offering virtual programs through Colby Museum @ Home, which are free and open to all.
